Evolve-IT have been working with a well-established Edinburgh based Asset Management firm and as part of their continual technology expansion they are looking for Test Analyst to join the Applications and Project Delivery department on a 6-month initial Contract. This role is Edinburgh based and will operate a hybrid working model.
The successful Tester will be testing new data integrations requested by the Trading team. The new data products created in Oracle database supplied through views to a reporting tool often Tableau, Power BI. Data will usually come from within Oracle and sometimes an external file or batch process, and then be processed through a data layer before being presented in a condition that can be used by the reporting analysts in the trading team. You will work closely with developers and test managers to build out testing capabilities in different areas with automated regression testing. You will engage with various stakeholders to develop, design and execute testing.
Essential Skill/Competencies:
- Agile development practices
- Gherkin/BDD
- Static Testing techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Demonstrable understanding of principles of automated testing
- Test Case Creation
- Strong Oracle SQL skills
Desirable Skill/Competencies:
- Asset Management Background
- Experience using Denodo
- Experience using reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI
- Experience of release management in Azure DevOps
- Git Source Control
- Experience of performance testing
- Background working in SOA
- BDD testing frameworks in .NET environment
