Evolve-IT are delighted to be working with a tech for good charity organisation on the outskirts of Glasgow. We have been engaged to source an experience Tech Manager to oversee the implementation, monitoring and support for their platform which is driving innovation within the education sector.
It is a reasonably small team with ambitious goals and as such the team are looking for like-minded individuals to join their team. It will be a varied role covering a large variety of technologies and if you are passionate about levelling up the education sector then this could be the perfect job for you.
Your Proficiencies:
- LMS Platform experience would be hugely beneficial for this role. Build, configure and create programs along with administration duties (ideally within the Edx platform).
- SQL, queries and reports will be essential for debugging and administration tasks.
- Full cycle customer management expertise, from delivering demo’s and presentations, through onboarding and implementation stages including aftercare and follow up support duties.
- Top class 3rd party, supplier and stakeholder management.
- Self-starter, with a role the sleeve’s up attitude.
Desired knowledge of:
- Security, risk management and mitigation experience
- MySQL, JSON, API querying,
- Cloud Technologies (AWS ideally)
- General IT Support and related network infrastructure technologies
- React, HTML, CSS, Django
Although this is a relatively small team, the charity is backed by a wider foundation and there will be a support structure in place for the successful candidate and their upskilling and technical contacts to lean on. The main focus of the role will be co-ordinating an efficient service delivery effort for end users. If you have a mix and general knowledge / previous experience working with some or all of the above technologies and platforms would be great to see on a CV.
The team have regular meet ups with occasional days in the office, depending on the workload and are looking for level headed candidates with a similar approach to flexible working. In general it is a lovely team to engage with and a great opportunity for the right candidate to aid the growth of the client over the coming years.
