Software Engineer - Edinburgh

Evolve IT are delighted to bring to market an exciting Software Engineering role with a well-established international tech consultancy, based in Edinburgh (hybrid). Our client is at the forefront of developing software and providing services tailored to technology and energy sectors, with a focus on AI, Machine Learning and IoT.

This role has been created due to ambitious growth plans across the company. If you are looking to land a role in a forward thinking and high performing company, then this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

• Development of backend platforms, databases and applications.
• Collaborate with multiple development and operations teams around the business.
• Bring fresh ideas and a strong software development skillset.

Key Skills Required

• Java, Python or C/C++
• Ruby, Go and Erlang knowledge would be useful.
• Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS
• Databases (SQL, MongoDB)

Nice to haves

• Degree background in Software Engineering, Computing or a related background
• Microsoft or AWS Certifications
• UNIX/Linux system admin
• Network security protocols such as IPSec or SSL
