Evolve's award winning financial services client are looking for an established Software Development Manager to lead their team on a permanent basis.

This is a truly unique opportunity to take charge of a large team (circa 80 developers) and really shape the future of the organisations technology strategy and operations as they continue to pioneer the use of technology and data modelling in the financial sector. 

Reporting directly into senior management you will play a key role in the day-to-day management and mentoring of teams across multiple technologies in development, modelling, web, cloud, devops and API. You will be charged with establishing, managing and leading these teams with your technical knowledge and managerial expertise and continuing to build a culture of technological excellence and best-practice within the friendly and collaborative team environment our client fosters. Our client operates primarily within the Microsoft tech stack /.NET framework so prior development experience in this area is a must have.  

The successful candidate will therefore have the following technical skills and experience:

- Extensive track record of hands-on development and management of Agile development teams within an MS environment.

- Proven abilities in managing large, multi-disciplinary teams ideally within a financial services environment.

- Good knowledge of DevOps

- Azure

- 1st Class interpersonal skills

- A passion for the application of the latest technologies

- Excellent presentation skills and ability to articulate complex tech to non-technical audiences 

- Proven abilities in documentation and best-practice compliance

- Stakeholder relationship building at all levels

 

In return our client are offering a starting salary of up to £80,000 per annum plus an award winning pension and benefits package including bonus, pension, private medical insurance, gym membership and a multitude of other benefit options. The role will be based remotely until government regulations allow. During normal times homeworking is encouraged with 1-2 days per week office-based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
