Evolve IT's award finning financial services client are continuing to lead the way in technology in the pension and investments sector and have a requirement for a Senior-level software development professional to join them on a permanent basis to lead their 40+ strong software development operations.
You will take full responsibility for implementing and maintaining development plans and standards with a key focus on keeping the company at the forefront of technological advances. You will work with Delivery Leads and manage multiple teams across numerous projects, technology and verticals. You will report to director-level/board-level stakeholders and will be the true face of the technology division of the organisation as well as managing relationships with suppliers and 3rd party vendors. Relationship building and management skills are a must have and must be combined with someone who is a truly passionate technologist who wants to share knowledge and lead by example.

You may also be someone who has reached the peak in hands-on Development Lead roles and want that next step in your management career.
The successful Software Development Manager will have the following technical skills and experience:
- A proven track record of leading software development projects in Agile and Lean/Kanban development environments
- Hands-on background in software development ideally in a Microsoft environment
- Good knowledge of DevOps
- Track record of managing large teams (10+) of developers
- An ability to instil a culture of continuous improvement
- Strategic and operational management of technology teams within a large organisation ideally with financial services experience
- 1st class interpersonal skills and management technique
