Evolve - IT are delighted to bring to market a new Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong knowledge around server infrastructure. The core focus of the role is to continue and improve our management and configuration of hardware, virtual and cloud server infrastructure.
The role is based Glasgow with one of Scotland oldest financial establishments the role provides a fantastic opportunity to work with a broad range of technologies whilst being able to apply deep expertise in server infrastructure.
The Key Responsibilities will be;
- Support and manage the server infrastructure for the firm.
- Support and administer a range of operating systems and platforms.
- Work as a technical escalation point for colleagues within the IT department.
- Maintenance and improvement of compliance / regulatory controls and requirements including ISO27001, SOC2 and Cyber Essentials while facilitating internal and external audit processes in relation to IT infrastructure.
Skills and Qualifications
- Subject matter expert in Virtualisation (Hyper-V preferred).
- Technical expertise in Server hardware (Cisco preferred).
- Technical expertise in IaaS workloads (Azure preferred).
- Technical expertise in supporting Windows Operating Systems, both server and client.
- Strong troubleshooting skills within a hybrid environment.
- Advanced automation skills using such languages such as PowerShell
- Technical expertise in Active Directory administration and support.
- Experience of System Centre management tools.
- Technical experience in Linux server management.
- Containerisation management.
The role is ideal for a strong server administrator with great infrastructure experience. The successful candidate will earn between £55,000 - £65,000 as well as an award-winning benefits package including an annual profit shared bonus.
