Evolve IT’s well known financial services and investments client are looking for a strong Oracle Database Administrator to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. This role is Inside IR35 and will be a hybrid Edinburgh office/work from home role.

This key hire will join the data platforms team and will be crucial to the management and future growth of the organisations data management systems.

This is not a support role. It is a project focused role for a strongly experienced Oracle professional to bring their expertise on the technology to the current estate as well as planning for future improvements. You will work closely with other team members in the DBA team to support administration requirements as well as assist with research, test and deployment as our client moves to the Cloud (OCI and Azure). You will be heavily involved in security compliance as well as work with stakeholders at all levels with regards project onboarding.

 

The successful Oracle Database Administrator will have the following skills and experience:

- A proven track record in Database Administration with Oracle 12c, 18c and 19c

- Knowledge and experience of building and supporting multiple database architectures

- Strong SQL and PL/SQL experience 

- Good Patching experience.

- Knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting

- Some experience of Oracle in the cloud would be highly advantageous.
