Office Manager/Executive Assistant – Part-Time 12-14hrs/week – Up to £30k Pro-Rata

Evolve IT’s Client which supports students with disabilities across the US & UK to become Confident Presenters is looking for a Part-Time Office Manager to facilitate the smooth running of their office, as well as take on particular project work and provide important Executive Assistant support to the CEO.

This role will be Part-time, working 12-14 hours per week Monday - Thursday – Working  Mornings would be best for them however there is Some Flexibility within this framework. This is a hybrid position within the central belt, Scotland as approx. 1 day per week will be required in our Glasgow office, more when working on particular projects (e.g., office relocation)

As a Successful Candidate, you will have previous experience as an Office Manager/ Executive Assistant and ensure smooth day-to-day of the office. You will also be working on various Projects. This is a brand-new role you will be responsible for helping improve Their company procedures and day-to-day operations. It is a broad role with a lot of autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact. There is a lot to do and are looking for someone who is happy to get their sleeves rolled up and get on with the job!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Office Management
    • Organising the current office for maximum productivity
    • Leading on our new office space project
    • Basic Health & Safety
    • Organising IT equipment for new starts and basic IT tasks
  • Executive Assistant to the CEO
    • Assisting with Board packs and taking minutes at Board meetings
    • Booking travel and co-ordinating diaries for meetings
  • Company Operations and Administration
    • Event planning, company get-togethers
    • Cross-functional projects support where our teams require it e.g., basic design work
  • Legal and Compliance
    • Legal and compliance filing and administration
    • Skilling up on data protection and ensuring we are GDPR compliant
    • Coordinating some of our information security processes, and helping to identify our compliance risks
  • Finance and Financial Administration
    • Reviewing and reconciling company and employee expenses (we use Xero and Pleo)
    • Basic bookkeeping

To be successful in this role you’ll need to be;

  • Diligent and organised: You’ll be able to work in a self-directed way - you’ll need to be adept at organising yourself and prioritising your workload as you juggle various simultaneous requests from across the business. You’ll also understand the value of ticking off critical business-as-usual tasks efficiently and accurately.

  • Tech savvy: as a start-up in the Edtech space you’ll need to be able to get to grips with the various tech that we use. If you’ve got experience with working with Gdrive then that would be a definite advantage.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £30k Pro Rate and a range of great benefits.
