Evolve-IT are delighted to bring to market a Junior QA Tester role with a fantastic, forward-thinking Edinburgh based business who are one of the UK’s leading data platform’s. This will be a hybrid working model with 2 days in office.
As part of this dynamic team, you be instrumental in ensuring the quality of the company’s cutting-edge technology, collaborating closely with development and testing teams, leadership, technical experts, and external partners.

Key responsibilities:
- You will carry out manual testing of applications to identify bugs and ensure the software meets all requirements and standards.
- You will collaborate closely with the business’s development and testing teams, leadership, technical teams, and external partners to guarantee the quality of the technology. Additionally, you will participate in daily team standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, whilst following Agile principles.
- You will create and preserve detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to guarantee full test coverage, whilst staying updated with the latest testing techniques and methodologies, influencing the team’s ways of working.
About you:
- You will have proven experience in manual, exhibiting meticulous attention to detail and a history of effectively identifying and documenting bugs.
- You will be an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and have the ability to communicate with team members at all levels within the organization.
- A self-starter with a strong drive, eager to learn, and constantly seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes.
- You will be an independent individual who is always looking for ways to improve processes within the business.
- You will have experience working with modern cloud technologies.
In return you will receive a salary of up to £30,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, with a strong benefits package and professional development opportunities.
