Evolve's established Edinburgh based Data Analytics client are continuing to go from strength to strength and have multiple requirements for technically skilled Java and JavaScript focused Engineers in their exciting Edinburgh city-centre office. You will be a passionate technologist with a willingness to work in a collaborative environment where coding and socialising go hand-in hand! This is the perfect role for someone who is sick of the humdrum of working in a large organisation and are looking for the balance between working on market leading technology and having an element of creative freedom in their day to day job. This role will allow you to work on what you enjoy and my client are passionate about allowing their staff to focus on their strengths whilst also developing skills on improvement areas. They provide breakout areas for collaborative problem solving and innovation as well as games consoles, board games, lounge areas and free fruit and drinks for relaxation and downtime.
On the technical side you will have the following:
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent commercial experience with Java/JavaScript
- A proven ability to work in a team environment
- 1st Class communication and social skills (and the ability to articulate tech to non techies!)
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB
- Knowledge of Vertica/Redshift
