Infrastructure Operations Engineer - Dundee/Angus

Evolve-IT have recently been engaged by a new client and are delighted to be working with this impressive team and some of their upcoming requests ahead of some great projects for candidates to get involved with. Given the nature of the team, if you are looking for an exciting and varied role within IT infrastructure, where you get to be involved with some of the cutting-edge technology in the sporting world, this is the role and team for you.

This particular role is looking for a Junior – Mid Level Infrastructure Analyst, in a strategic position which will be monitoring the infrastructure estate and reporting and providing documentation for the management team, whilst a large portion of the role will be focused on operational projects over the coming years.

If you have previous experience that relates to the below, I am keen to have a chat with you and share more information on the particular client and chat through the full opportunity on offer:

  • Experience Maintaining and monitoring Network Infrastructure
  • Cisco, Meraki, Azure/ AWS
  • ITIL Certifications (ideally v4)
  • DevOps understanding and principles
  • Active Directory (Azure), Intune, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams etc.

The successful candidate will be able to showcase an understanding of the above Infrastructure and technologies and will ideally have previous experience producing reports for management teams. Over the coming years the team are looking for the right personality to mentor and with all the training and development opportunities on offer, this is a fantastic role and team to get in with.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with external resources to maintain the teams network infrastructure, both on prem and virtual operations, ensuring the solution is robust and can handle increase capacity levels.
  • Monitoring of the hosted technologies, ensuring 24/7 availability in line with Operational Level Agreements, ensuring all systems are backed up and secure
  • Working with a Continuous Improvement / DevOps mindset, looking to improve current solutions and efficiencies within the team.
  • Working with the team on various projects and solutions to be implemented, whilst creating a positive internal brand image of the IT team when working with

 

The team are open to a hybrid model, which will probably lean more towards three days on site in and around St Andrews.
