Evolve IT's brilliant software client working in the Energy Sector are looking for a number of ambitious and driven Field Service Engineer's to join them on a permanent basis. This role will be based notionally from the Edinburgh city centre office and will include international site visits and offshore working (for which there is an additional offshore allowance)
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is excited by the prospect of worldwide travel to some of the most interesting and exciting locations.
You will be someone with a strong technical background - ideally with some background in IT or engineering - who is able to turn their hand to installations, fixes and support. The role will work on the installation of cutting edge software and hardware on client sites as well as providing expert support when back in the office.
The ideal Field Service Engineer will have the following technical skills and experience:
- A background in engineering or technical support - full training on my client's products provided
- 1st class communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt solutions to complex problems while keeping a cool head
- An ability to convey technical issues in easy to understand language
- Knowledge of GPS, Data Radio Systems, Surveying or Navigation technologies would be beneficial but not essential.
