Cloud Apps Developer - Edinburgh

Software Development
Ref: 132 Date Posted: Tuesday 08 Jun 2021

We are working with a brilliant organisation, who are currently looking to add a Cloud Applications Developer to their small digital delivery department here in Edinburgh. How do I know they are brilliant, I’ve worked with them since 2013 and placed a number of people in their IT and Digital Departments and they have all raved about the team, culture and working environment.

They offer an endless range of enterprise projects, with generous training and development budgets, flexi time, strong pension (19%), 42 days leave per annum and the current expectation is for people to be in the office (covid-safe environment) 4-5 days a month.

The Role:

Working in a small team, you’ll help lead the way on a wide array of Microsoft projects, which help my client deliver services to over 300 fellow employees, who work throughout Scotland. Working in an agile digital delivery department, you will work on projects and provide 3rd line technical support in conjunction with a talented group on their Service Desk.

Your projects will focus on a wide range of Power Platform development projects, with a focus at the moment on Power Automate/Flow and Power App projects.

Duties:

  • Involvement in full end-to-end Power Platform projects, delivering solutions to interna clients
  • Deploy tools, processes and metrics to aid the development and performance management of future solutions.

Technical background:

I’m looking for candidates with a strong understanding of the full SDLC, but most of all, you’ll bring a positive attitude and keenness to learn new skills. You will need commercial software development experience, ideally with a good exposure to the following technologies:

  • It would be ideal if you already have some exposure to Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate/Flow, Business Process Automation and SharePoint, Dynamics and/or Microsoft 365 (this team doesn’t do much with Power BI though, so it isn’t a high priority)
  • Broad exposure to Microsoft 365 component / supporting technologies

All members of this team are supported and encouraged to develop their career, through personal training and a development plan that offers endless opportunities and certification from Microsoft.
