Business Intelligence Developer (Power BI / Tableau / SSRS) – Permanent – Fully Remote – up to £80K
Evolve IT Recruitment are hiring a Business Intelligence Developer for a Data Science consulting firm that delivers to customers across a wide range of sectors. Their focus is to enable companies to push efficiencies throughout their operations using state-of-the-art data science methodologies and technology, boosting performance and ensuring data drives value within the organisation. They are looking to hire a Business Intelligence Developer with a strong background in analytics to join their existing team, offering you the opportunity to work on exciting projects across Europe and working within a decentralised and highly talented team – this role is fully remote so you can be based anywhere in the UK. As their client base in across Europe the ability to speak fluent French or Italian is highly advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Establish business requirements in the context of Business Intelligence and support the creation of data models to transform raw bulk data into relevant commercial insights that drive improvement and enhanced performance
- Support the definition of key performance indicators and track them regularly to establish strong improvement monitoring
- Use a wide range of tools to create dashboards and visual reports that encourage interaction and engagement, these tools may include Power BY, Tableau, Qlik, SSRS, Power Query, SAP Analytics etc.
- Convert business needs into technical specifications and help establish timetables for job completion and delivery
- Create charts / data documentation with explanations of relevant algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships
- Encourage technological adjustments to current Business Intelligence systems to improve performance
Essential:
- Experience working in a Business Intelligence role previously, any level of experience is suitable
- Experience using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SAP Analytics, Power Query, MDX, or SSRS or similar tools
- Experience working with large datasets and performing advanced level computation
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Analytical mindset – can convert sizeable amounts of data into relevant visualisations / reports
- Good communication skills, able to communicate needs clearly with internal and external teams
- Any experience in speaking Italian / French would be distinctly advantageous
