Evolve-IT are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst with a prominent Edinburgh based asset management firm who have brilliant culture and are working with the latest and greatest technologies on the market. The initial 6-month contract will be a hybrid-based vacancy and we are looking to speak to candidates that can commute to their head office in Edinburgh.
Initially the contract will be 6 months, with a strong possibility that contract extensions will be offered if the successful candidate shares and enthusiasm for technology and thirst for career development and learning new technologies.
You will be an experienced Business Analyst who will join the businesses Application Development Department, within the Corporate Applications and Regulations team.
Your responsibilities:
- Carry out analysis practices to gather solid understanding of business processes and related issues or opportunities for improvement
- Produce requirements from user groups
- Work closely with the technical delivery team as well as technical leads/architects and UX/UI Designers to produce solutions to meet requirements
- Assist valuable communication with all project team members
- Enable system testing, as well as assisting with test script review and acting as first point of contact during implementation
- Continue focus during the life of the project on producing business value and meeting the business needs
- Share knowledge of BA practices with colleagues within the department
- Leading analysis, if necessary, on greater business plan projects
Skills / Experience
- Understanding of agile development methodologies e.g., SCRUM preferred.
- Previous experience with assisting within workshops
- Significant previous experience within a Business Analyst Role, working on bespoke application or packaged software development.
- Full end to end lifecycle experience from Scope to Implementation
- Solid analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to build strong relationships, while working collaboratively with people throughout the business.
- Ability to work under pressure with a proactive way of working.
- You will be a self-starter with the capability to work with little supervision
- Strong team player who actively participates towards a positive working environment
- Be able to work with various projects at the same time, managing time and workload efficiently
In return our client is offering a daily rate of £450 depending on experience.
