3rd Line Infrastructure Support Analyst – Permanent – Hybrid (WFH / Livingston / Client Site) – up to £46K

Evolve IT are hiring for an exciting new opportunity for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Support Analyst to work with our client based in Livingstone.  Our client provides IT Services to help support SME organisations and helping them work smarter; this includes identifying and implementing appropriate technologies, combined with the ability to support those solutions to optimise a customer’s return on their investment.  In this role you will be providing support as a 3rd line engineer that takes ownership of escalated IT support calls, due to either their high technical requirement or high priority nature – you should be comfortable liaising with customers over the phone or email, and are expected to provide technical guidance, perform IT service requests, perform and approve IT change requests and be responsible for pro-active management of IT infrastructure through maintenance and monitoring.  Technically you will have a wide infrastructure background across a number of technologies such as Windows Server, VMWare, Exchange, Office 365, network infrastructure, firewalls, and NAS / SAN  storage.

- Respond to client requests, providing 3rd line support within support agreement targets

- Provide remote desktop and server support , acting as a point of escalation for Technical Analysts

- Provide proactive management of client networks

- Build rapport with all new and existing clients to develop positive working relationships  

- Cooperate with other team members to promote the development of the support team and the success of the company as a whole 

- Call logging and regular feedback to the Service Desk Manager and Service Delivery Manager

- Support your colleagues, wherever practicable, to ensure they meet their objectives 

- Support the Board of Directors and Management Team in delivering change that benefits the business as a whole 


- High level of commercial experience in IT and Networks technology, including desktop, server, networks devices, and printer hardware

- Experience supporting Microsoft Desktop and Server technologies

- MS Office (including Office 365)

- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP

- VMWare ESXi 

- Server Clusters and SAN topology 

- Email Relay and antispam 

- SonicWALL routers 

- HP, Dell Server, SAN and network hardware 

- Citrix XenDesktop and XenServer 

- Veeam, Symantec Backup Exec 

If you have any of the following accreditations it would be highly advantageous; Microsoft (MCP, MCSA, MCSE), Citrix (CCA, CCP, CCE), or VMWare (VCA, VCP, VCAP, VCIX, VCDX).
