Evolve-IT are delighted to bring to market a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer role providing onsite support across the central belt – our client has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. The role is split 60/40 onsite and office-based support.
You will play a key role providing high quality support for a range of clients, diagnosing and resolving IT-related issues, ensuring their team can work seamlessly and their clients receive the best service possible. Since you will be attending office sites a full driver’s licence and car is required for this role.

A day in the life
Working in a close and collaborative team you will be solving clients’ problems over the phone, by email and support tickets and providing a great customer experience.
- Resolving 2nd Line Support requests -these will be predominantly server, network, cloud and infrastructure focused.
- Supporting your colleagues in the 1st Line support team, helping to develop their skills.
- Escalating faults and working closely with our 3rd Line Support team.
- Project work - both onsite and remotely.
- Taking part on onsite installations such as devices, network equipment, and data cabling.
Key Technical Skills Required
- Office 365 suite
- Azure, Azure AD and Group Policy
- Windows Server
- Windows 10/11
- Mac OS (nice to have – not essential)
- Backup & Security Management
- Server Build, Migration and Networking Experience
